Product Description

ProctorPassive UV Tape is a single sided adhesive tape recommended for use with the ProctorPassive Rainscreen vapour permeable membrane.

The carrier of polyester spun bond with black functional coating offers long term UV resistance making the tape suitable for use in open joint rainscreen applications where used as directed.

The pressure sensitive polyacrylate adhesive provides exceptionally high initial tack and permanent adhesion.

Applications

ProctorPassive UV Tape is designed for use with ProctorPassive Rainscreen (RS-IT) vapour permeable construction membrane for open joint facades, sealing around doors, windows and pipes.

Installation

Installation of ProctorPassive UV Tape must be in accordance with the installation guide.

As with all pressure sensitive tapes, in order to ensure a strong bond, apply pressure with a squeegee or roller on both sides of the material when applying the tape.

Surfaces being adhered must be dry and free of surfactants, release agents like grease or oil, and dirt or dust. Damp or cold surfaces may prove difficult to adhere to and should be allowed to dry and return to a temperature between +10°C + 30°C prior to application of the tape.

All mechanical load on membranes should be distributed to mechanical fasteners and the tape must not be applied under mechanical load. The use of adhesive tape is not a substitute for the required fixing of materials.
