Passive roof ventilation
The Eaves Baffle Vent – EB20 [which replaces the ProctorVent Roll Panel Vent RR650] is designed to maintain a continuous 25mm air gap between the underside of the roofing membrane or sarking and loft insulation at the eaves, providing a consistent flow of air into the roof space. The EB castellated profile is laid across the top of the roof trusses/rafters parallel with the eaves level and is suitable for both new build and roof renovation projects. The extra width of the panel allows for better coverage when low pitch and deep insulation details are encountered.

Applications / Scope of use

- Suitable for new builds or renovations as part of the ProctorVent system.
- For metal and tiled roof installations.
- Compatible with timber or metal fascia.
Installation
If the roll is too large to handle on the roof, precut to a manageable length and re-roll. Roll out the ProctorVent EB20 across the top of the roof trusses or rafters without stretching, parallel to the fascia and directly above the wall plate. ProctorVent EB20 should not be pulled excessively as this would reduce the thickness. Staple the ProctorVent EB20 to each roof truss or rafter to hold in position. The ProctorVent EB20 can be positioned directly below and fixed in place by a roof batten. For low pitch roofs that have high levels of ceiling insulation it may be necessary to use 2 runs of ProctorVent EB20 to maintain the free airflow path.
