tightHOUSE Plate™ PE Foam Gasket - for building Air Tightness

tightHOUSE Plate™ is a flexible foam gasketing strip that can help reduce air infiltration between a concrete slab foundation and bottom plate. The closed-cell polyethylene (PE) foam compresses to seal gaps in irregular surfaces, helping reduce air leakage for a tighter building envelope and enhanced energy savings. It provides excellent and enduring resistance to water and water vapor, as well as preventing pests from entering the building.

Built-in capillary break. Concrete slabs draw moisture up from the ground continuously, and untreated timber sitting directly on concrete wicks that moisture straight into the plate. Tight Plate’s closed-cell construction physically separates timber from concrete, blocking moisture transfer and protecting the bottom plate from decay for the life of the building.
